Police action has also been recommended against two persons for submitting false affidavits in this regard. Verma informed the enquiry conducted by Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Ludhiana (East) Prem Chand revealed that Manjit Kaur and Rajan Kwatra had, in their separate applications for registration of dates of birth of their son and daughter claimed they were born at Ludhiana Nursing Home Private Limited and Trehan Surgical Centre and Nursing Home.

Both cases related to late entry of dates of birth. The secrutiny of original records at both places showed glaring differences when tallied with the details mentioned in the applications of both accused.
The overwriting clearly established tempering of records, he said. Before writing to Ludhiana SSP to initiate the action, the district atorney had opined that prima facie the accused had committed offence under sections 420, 465,467, 468 read with 120-B IPC. Accordingly, registration of criminal cases against both has been recommended, said Verma.
